About Braize

Braize is a Hack Club YSWS. Make something browser-ish, keep a little trail of what happened, and submit it through the submission form.

Scope can be tiny or huge. A practical extension counts. A cursed tab toy counts. A from-scratch browser counts if you are brave.

What Counts

full browser

Go big if you want: rendering, tabs, the whole messy thing.

Example: Vertex, a fully from-scratch web browser, written in C++.

extension

A tab hoarder intervention, a dark-mode-everything button, anything that lives in the toolbar.

browsing buddy

A desktop pet that judges your tabs, a sidebar pal, something that hangs out while you browse.

something weirder

If it touches browsing in any way, it probably counts. Not sure? Ask in Slack.

How It Works
  1. Build. Use whatever stack you like. Small is fine if it works.
  2. Log. Keep quick notes and proof as you go so reviewers can see the trail.
  3. Submit. Use the Hack Club submission form. It sends entries into Airtable.
  4. Get Rewarded. If it runs and fits the theme, Hack Club sends prizes.
